Over Memorial Day weekend, we took our first trip to Taos, NM, a great town with beautiful adobe architecture, funky eco-architecture, called Earthships, surrounded by beautiful mountains, and home to a diverse culture including hippies, hispanics, and natives. Although I didn't end up exploring much of the great architecture, we did have a great time camping, biking, and hiking. We went with Julie and Dave, and got to meet some of their great friends! We also explored downtown, where we hung out at the historic Adobe Bar to enjoy delicous food, beverages (Ryan even got a flight of Tequila...mmm.mmm.) AND live Flamenco music. During dinner, we even had a visit to our table by Gemma, selling her brownies...only in Taos!
Do you remember last year, when we were planning to take a great trip to Buckskin Gulch, but got 'rained' out, and explored other cool stuff instead? Well...we finally took our trip, over a year later!
And it WAS INCREDIBLE!
