We're very excited to announce that Julie and Dave have moved to Tsaile! YAY!!!
Ever since we've moved up here, we've still gone down to Chinle to hang out with friends quite a bit, and people seem willing to make the 30 minute drive up here when we host something. Lucky for us, we also got to hang out with Jason and Abby, other young like-minded friends, before they moved up north to Montana :( But besides them, it's been hard to find young people in this little hamlet with quite as much interest and drive to explore and bike and run and hang out with us. So we are pretty excited that things worked out for Julie to transfer into the open pharmacy position here at the Tsaile Health Center and for her and Dave to move into the duplex next door.
It also helps the case for investing in a shared greenhouse to extend our short vegetable gardening season. And we seem to have convinced each other that come spring, it will also be a good idea to build a coop and get some chickens!!! You can't get eggs any fresher (more fresh?)! (I'll keep you posted when/if this materializes!)
Julie is also my main running motivator. I'm not really much of a runner, and getting myself out there to do it alone is quite a task, especially in cold weather with snow on the ground. But we've already gotten out there for a jog.
In other news, I got back on a road bike today for the first time in months. I felt pretty good...well, until I bonked. Ryan and Julie have both signed up for the Iron Horse bike ride again this year, but I'm still holding out like I did last year. There's a lot of arm twisting going on. We're excited that Aaron is also going to come out from Ohio to tell Colorado's mountains who's boss!
Yay for friends.

Ooh chickens! Black Stars? Rhode Island Reds? Don't get Guineas..they're the most annoying animal around. If you get chickens, I hope for hundreds of pictures, how fun! Fresh eggs...mmm yum!
Congrats on getting to have Julie and Dave so nearby! Lucky, lucky!
