- Patricia and I biked the slickrock behind our house this morning, is was brisk (low 30s) but the sun was gloriously shining!
- My friend Jim loaned me his full suspension mountain bike so I've been enjoying riding over obstacles that I normally wouldn't even try....that means I'm due for a sweet wreck any day now. (just kidding mom)
- I realized I like listening to rap music while biking, otherwise not really a fan
- Took the Jeep to the Chuskas (mountains by Tsaile, AZ) for an afternoon of snowshoeing.
Yeah my belt is undone, and I'm not quite sure why?
Patricia showing off her skillz
- Returned home, Patricia made a casserole, by far my favorite type of meal.
- My favorite two cookbooks we have are by Maryana Vollstedt, I think they're titled "The big book of casseroles" and "the big book of soups and stews". I highly recommended both if you like that kind of thing. In fact she has a website; she even has a whole book on meatloaf!!
- For those baseball fans (as you all know I am), MLB network is replaying Kens Burns Baseball Documentary on Tuesday nights, definitely good stuff.
- All right I have a picture and a weblink, definitely qualifies as an official blog in my book, I'm going to bed.
Ryan Stats:
Number of days mountain biked this year: 2
Number 0f days watched TV: 10 (embarassed)
Need to change the above ratio around: pretty darn big
Stay tuned for a big news blog coming in the next week. Although all of our 5 readers probably already know so thanks for your continued interest!

Happy New Years Ryan and Patricia
I liked your comment about casseroles, comfort food is the best. Did you know Maryana Vollstedt is from Eugene? She writes a few food columns for our local newspaper as well. Hope you guys are doing well, the 6th and 7th readers of your blog don't know about your exciting news yet so we will stay tuned.

Thanks to my new cookbook (thanks Scarboroughs), I have made 2 delicious casseroles since Sunday. It turns out I make outstanding enchiladas.
