Waiting game

Well, the doctor's due date for me (last Monday, the 6th) came and went; and my own calculated due date (today, the 11th) has come and nearly gone.  It's been surprisingly hard to be patient for baby!  Until the 6th, I wasn't feeling ready to have baby, but now I'm eager and anxious!  

We've had a busy week putting my parents to work, and trying to check things off our to-do list; as well as trying to get rest and let them have plenty of play time with Marlin. He's certainly loving the attention! (And so are they!)

As for the house, things are progressing! They've finished painting all the interior walls! It was hard to finalize colors; and I'm not sure I'm 100% happy with all my selections now that it's painted, but at least paint can be painted over if o really decide I'm not happy.  Also, I think once all the other stuff gets finished, it will all come together!   The exterior is close to being done, except getting painted (the boards and battens will all be one color), which happens Monday! 

The garage door is installed, and the trees that we got milled into lumber was delivered!  We are planning to use it for baseboard and door trim; but we still have lots of sanding and sealing to do to it for it to be finished for install! (This is when the timing of house and baby and Ryan's busy work schedule all get just a little tricky!) 

The question I'm sure you're wondering, is when will it be done so we can move in?! 

Just like baby, it's a bit of a mystery to us all.  The house will be done when it's done, and baby will be here when s/he's ready!
