11:15: Hubbard squash soup happily simmering away on the stove. Cranberries and sugar boiling together in a perfect marriage. Gizzards waiting to bathe in the turkey drippings.

Appetizers ready and waiting. Mini corn, Ryan's favorite, and pickled beets and carrots from last years garden. Fresh salad from the fall crop of mixed greens out of our greenhouse!

11:32: Waiting for guests to arrive. We will have eight adults and nine children ages six and under!
Ryan starts carving the turkey!

11:35: One family texts to say they just left, be here soon!
11:37: Added the last fixins to the squash soup. Footballs on in the background. Marlin is (thankfully!) sleeping away in his crib before a long busy afternoon.

& at least one dog. U adults are outnumbered!
Yes, especially since we only had seven adults after all. Nine kids, one dog, and do the eight chickens count? Actually they were the reason the kids stayed busy for a good portion of the day, so maybe the hens are on our side (though I don't think they were happy about it).
the poor chickens! breakfast, babysitters, then dinner!
