I had a great birthday the other day. Ryan took the day off, so while i enjoyed a cup of coffee, Ryan double tasked - he cooked me breakfast and started up the green egg for birthday brisket, after which he made me a carrot cake. And, Marlin slept from 8pm to 6 am- a birthday gift after waking all through the night during our last couple weeks of travel. In the evening, we went up into the mountains and enjoyed dinner and dessert with the Clyde's, Dave and Julie, and Mike.
Then yesterday, for the Fourth, we went back up to the Clyde's place again for a great hike, a rainstorm - which felt wonderful amidst the hot drought we've been having, and a barbecue!
