merry xmas from liz, patricia's sister, guest blogger today. rick & carol bell got here tuesday from cleveland. i arrived thursday night from chicago (dad picked me up in abq). i was excited to meet marlin for the first time & i guess he was excited to meet me too!
the house was decorated with a beautiful tree thanks to marlin's good eye.
after a lazy day, we decided to take a little walk around black pinnacle before the sun set.
ryan threatened to sled down the side on his bum (and i think he actually did when patricia wasn't looking).
we even did a little gymnastics before heading home for fiesta friday.
fiesta friday was great with an appetizer of margaritas and chips & salsa, then steak & chicken fajitas and rice & beans for dinner. marce, victor & ashleigh stopped over so we had tea & dessert with them while playing a game of imaginiff. after the game, victor explained to us the navajo story behind the ceremony for the baby's first laugh. marce made a beautiful quilt for marlin - que linda! so stay tuned for details on marlin's first laugh ceremony. as victor said once you say you're going to do something you shouldn't go back on your word. i'm going to keep that in mind as its time to reflect on the year and maybe make a few new year's resolutions! :P

So happy to think of you all together in Tsaile for Marlin's first Christmas! Fun to read the post by the "guest blogger" and look at the photos. We're awaiting the arrival of the rest of the fam here in the next couple of hours, expecting 13 for dinner. Sending love and hugs to Patricia, Ryan, Marlin, Liz, Rick and Carol.
