time flies when you're having fun

This was supposed to be a relaxing weekend at home - finally - to catch up on things, get some housework done, and just relax, since we always seem to be in GO mode. Well, it sort of was, but the pull of friends camping at Muley Point, one of our very favoritest places to camp was too much. Just one night, relaxing in its own great way, and totally worth it...but looking forward to next weekend AT HOME!

Back in June, we joined Dave and Julie for the Telluride Bluegrass Festival. What a great place for a music festival! And it was pretty cool going to a festival that was so conscious of it's sustainability. They not only had recycling and a free water station to fill your reusable bottles (they dont let the vendors sell bottled water either), they also had compost bins (even passing out free biobags to compost at your campsite). It was a fun weekend of great camping, great friends, great music, great scenery...and corndogs! Here's some other highlights:

On the way home, Megan met up with us, as she was headed our way for a visit!!! Too many years apart, but just like it was yesterday! We did our best to catch each other up on life. We saw lots of great stuff along the way, including an amazing thunderstorm that passed over us at Monument Valley and left in its wake some stunning lighting and rainbows! What a great week. Thanks so much, Megan, for coming to visit! Can't wait to see you again, in San Francisco, it sounds like!

Well, that covers some of the highlights of the last month. More later...
