Besides eating an excessive amount of crawfish, we partook in several yard games including horseshoes, bocce, and what turned out to be a pretty vicious game of wiffle ball!
Little did we know at last year's boil that we would be attending this year as Tsaile residents. It was a beautiful weekend to spend in Tsaile, and it culminated with a trip up into the Chuska mountains, just a few miles away. We were able to spend a great day with Marce and Victor at their land, partaking in a "sweat" and sharing great food cooked over the camp fire. [More on sweat lodges in a future post...] In other news, ever since last holiday season when I set up a table of my photography at the Christmas Bazaars, I have been slowly working towards selling more of my stuff as art. I have since had two official customers that I've taken & sold portraits to, and have sold a handful of prints and notecards of my photos. With some encouragement and prodding by my mom and two particular great friends, I've finally started doing something more. I'm working on a website (I just bought my own domain, it felt Important), but will reveal it to you all when the url actually works! And tomorrow night I will be displaying (and hopefully selling!) some of my photography at a "coffeehouse" in Chinle! Our friends there have hosted a few "coffeehouse" nights at their house and tomorrow will be the second that also incorporates a local art show, featuring...ME! (wish me luck!)
