P.S. by Patricia: for further explanation, the top picture was taken in September, after two months of traveling and "accidentally" leaving his beard trimmer and razors behind. You can see why i was more than gently prodding him to PLEASE at least cut some of the strays and trim the 'stache that was hanging down over his top lip. He was not to be bothered until within a couple days of starting his new job. He refused to let the Summer of Ryan die with that unruly beard.

I have printed out your top photo and put it up on the refrigerator for inspiration. Was that picture taken 3 or 4 days into the Summer of Ryan?
it's scary just opening this blog page and seeing that picture of him. tell missy i'm sorry she has to see that everytime she walks into the kitchen!

As soon as I saw this post I knew Rob would be jealous. He actually did try for a beard for a week or two, but he gave up hope and shaved. It grows in a little more every year, so he may not give up the dream just yet.
