It's funny how perspective and sense of size and space changes in this process. Once we started clearing trees, the area we're putting the house suddenly started to feel bigger. Then we started measuring out how the house would layout and suddenly it didn't feel so big. Now that they've dug out the basement and have a big flat spot where there were always bumps and hills and slopes, it looks rather large. But then again, it's three feet wider all around minimum for space to build and for backfill around the foundation. Apparently this same sense of expanding and contracting goes on through out the process. When the frame goes up it seems big, then the sheetrock goes up and it feels small again....
We're hoping that once the furniture goes in and we're all moved in that, just like Goldilocks, it will be just right.
