Birthday bliss!

Hard to believe my baby is two years old today! We had a breakfast birthday party with family and sang his birthday song on the minute of his birth two years ago at 7:50 am. He really enjoyed opening his presents, playing with his new toys, batting at the balloons...but you can see from the pictures that he especially enjoyed his birthday cupcake! Oh to experience the pure joy of a two year old digging into chocolate cake! 

In other news, many apologies for being so silent on the blogging in recent months. We have officially moved to Rapid City, but we are far from settled as our things are in storage and we plan to travel quite a bit in the next few months. It was sad in many ways to say goodbye to Tsaile and the Rez... we will certainly miss the unique beauty and landscape, but are especially sad to move away from so many good friends that were like family to us. However we are also excited about making a new life for ourselves here in Rapid! It has already been refreshing to take advantage of "big city" (...right...) conveniences as we take care of everything involved with moving to a new state. 

Not that we won't be busy in the coming weeks and months but I plan to be better about posting updates.  I finally have a phone that thinks its smarter than me which does in fact make it easier to post updates so keep an eye out for more soon!
