Crazy for corduroy

Ryan's mom had given us some of his old clothes from when he as a baby. Most of them were 0-12 mo size, but just came across one still in the drawer labeled 24 mo. and decided we should try it on him. It just fits. And it's very...oh, shall we say 1979. :o)

Marlin loves babbling, and has probably 20 words or so, and has really started using more of the sign language I've been trying to use. He's far from being potty trained, but we talk about it and he acknowledges when he's filling his pants, and has starting signing "potty," which is a start I guess.

He and Jack are finally friends...Marlin has started feeding him some of his snacks when mama's not looking and loves giving him dog treats. He also loves throwing the ball around the house and squeals when Jack chases after it, then runs after him.

Yes, he's running around the house these days. He also loves being outside and playing in the yard, or at the playground. Though he's still rather cautious. Lately he will climb up on top of the coffee table, but hesitates to get down. Even though he can easily get down from a bed or other higher surface, something about the sharp edge of the coffee table and distance from the ground is just enough that he doesn't want to drop down over the edge. Yesterday he was happily sitting up there babbling while I was busy washing dishes.

Then I realized he was rather quiet.

Amazing! Can't wait to see him. I am a little concerned that 2T might not fit him.... : /

i am sure that 2T will be perfect. ALL the old stuff of Ryan's fit small, apparently babies were smaller in the olden days ;). For most clothes, some 18 month stuff is just right right now, most 24 months and 2t stuff fits with a little room to grow (except maybe American Apparel stuff - they like to make you AND your baby feel fat as Christina so kindly put it ;) The size 2T tshirt she got him started fitting around 12 mo, and won't for much longer.)
